Josh Hinkle, Owner and General Manager of Rotties Baseball, oversees all daily operations and administrative duties for the program. He will also serve as a coach and instructor. With nearly 20 years of coaching experience spanning youth to college levels, including being named The Morning Call's High School Baseball Coach of the Year in 2017, Hinkle brings a wealth of experience and proven expertise to the organization. His vision for Rotties Baseball focuses on attracting dedicated players and families who are all-in on achieving maximum potential.
Dylan Dando, Senior Advisor of Rotties Baseball, brings over 30 years of extensive experience as a manager, professional scout for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and baseball academy owner. His vast knowledge and proven track record in player development will be instrumental in guiding the Rotties. Dando's visionary approach is expected to shape the future of the baseball program by fostering a culture of excellence and commitment. He will lead all player recruitment and development efforts.
Jason Okken brings over 15 years of coaching experience to oversee day-to-day on-field operations, including managing teams, coaches, tournament schedules, and training programs. His extensive background ensures a structured, high-energy environment where players can thrive under expert guidance. Okken's hands-on approach and deep knowledge of the game enable him to craft effective training regimes that foster team cohesion, aligning with Rotties' mission to develop serious, committed athletes who are ready to excel.
Sean Heimpel leverages his remarkable baseball career to enhance the programs pitching development. Starting as the all-time strikeout leader at Liberty High School, where he pitched from 2001-04, including two no-hitters. He won a National Championship with Gloucester in 2005 and an ACBL title with the Blazers that year, earning All-American honors in 2006. His professional journey featured contracts with Nashua Pride, Washington Wild Things, Windy City Thunderbolts, and the San Diego Padres. As a pitching coach, Sean led the Allentown Railers to four championships within the 2012–2019 seasons and currently guides Southside in the ECCBL since 2024. Over the years he has mentored multiple players to professional levels. At Rotties Baseball, Sean brings his expertise to help pitchers unlock their potential.
Brian Ernst is a highly accomplished baseball coach and former player with over a decade of coaching experience, ranging from youth baseball to collegiate athletics. A standout two-way player at East Stroudsburg University, he earned three All-PSAC selections and two All-Region honors, becoming the only player in PSAC history to record 200 strikeouts as a pitcher and 200 hits as a batter, showcasing his rare versatility and dominance.
Following his collegiate career, Ernst played five seasons of independent league baseball, where he pitched 464 innings and amassed 372 strikeouts. His deep understanding of the game, combined with his proven track record as both a player and coach make him a valuable asset to the Rottie program.
Ricky Rivera has been coaching youth baseball for more than 15 years. Prior to beginning his coaching career, he played two years (2002-03) at Eastern Oklahoma State where he hit .337 with 31 doubles, 6 triples, 9 home runs, and 91 RBI. His success at EOS earned him his next stop at Oral Roberts University where he racked up another 19 doubles, 7 triples, 10 home runs and 75 RBI. His dominance at the plate and ability to mentor young players will promote key growth for Rotties' hitters.
Dan Horoshock, affectionately known as “Shucky the Dog,” is a cornerstone of Lehigh Valley baseball with over 30 years of coaching experience. His career spans more than a decade at the high school level, with impactful tenures at Saucon Valley and Palisades, before transitioning to the college ranks as an assistant at Muhlenberg College. A true ACBL living legend, Shucky has won 5 cups in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League, leading the Allentown Railers and Quakertown Blazers to glory. Currently, he brings his expertise to Southside in the East Coast Collegiate Baseball League as an assistant coach. Shucky’s passion for developing players and eating a fresh pizza pie makes him a must have at Rotties Baseball.
